Model: Archer C80  
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.12.10 Build 230208 Rel.38553n(4555)

Whenever 5ghz or smartconnect is enabled, the router disconnects and reconnects.

 

Router restart then blink orange light then OK, then aftersometime same thing.

 

 The issue never happens when connected with 2.4ghz.

 

All devices disconnect together

 

Devices in use:

Samsung smart Tv (Not 5g Supported)

 

Iphone 8.

 

S21 samsung mobile (5g supported)

Hi, do you mean the router will reboot itself when 5G is enabled, no matter Smart Connect is enabled or not?

Or wired connection always works fine and only WiFi connections are affected?

 

May I know how often does the issue happen? like once a day or more frequently?

 

Please try to change the 5G channel and channel width to see if it makes any difference.

Whenever i connect with 5ghz or smart connect, it disconnect and reconnect every after few minutes, all devices lost connection and router start blinking orange light.

 

I do not have wired device, only wifi.

 

Actually i am not technical person, i dont know much. Currently channel width selected as "Auto"

 

Please guide

Look at the device bottom sticker to check its HW version and FW region - details.

Update your device to the latest FW release and test again its behavior - here, version Archer C80(EU)_V1_1.13.2 Build 230824.

I suspect you're with the HW v1, just check the FW region.
