@ramziboy Lol... that's not the "selection" I'm talking about.
I meant manually selecting which Deco to connect to.
Here is the article: How to select a preferred signal source on the Deco App (Part 2)

Would be nice to know if you plan on updateing the S7.
My S7s are still on 1.4.5 platform and that is Nov '23
My much older S4's have moved to the 1.5 and now the 1.6.1 platform and that only a month newer firmware. Dec '23.
Why is the S7 not getting any love and bringing parity, in what is to users, an improved S4.

@bensimmo TP-Link does not care. They don't dhare timelines or what is going to be supported.
Seems they only care to sell their devices and forget about support.

Buying s7 3-pack is a total regret on my side. Decos are always connecting to wrong deco, mostly main deco even if it is furthest. It should be so easy to measure signal db of each and connect to a nearer one but no, tp-link can't do it. If you can't do it smartly, which is actually the first thing you should implement correctly for a mesh wi-fi product, at least give an option for users to choose it manually. But no, tp-link don't care. There are hundreds of mesh network devices in their product catalog and they're releasing this feature for 1 product for each month. We'll have to wait maybe 100 more month with their release speed.

@LP-De As I read in this forum 1.5.x have critical bugs and not available in the EU support firmware pages and also not available from the device settings. I'll wait some more for a stable release.

"google translate." lol
I have the following experience to share.
I had a pair of M4s that I used, but they lacked speed and range... so I bought the Deco s7 in the hope of solving this, but now I have the following situation: If I put an m4 as the main one, it doesn't find the S7 either as wifi or as ethernet and if I put the S7 as the main one, the signal is short and doesn't reach the m4 at 5ghz... and via ethernet on the other m4 the speed is stuck at 100mb/s... in addition to losing Qos in the S7 firmware
