I try to encrypt or password the expander's network through the app and I can't. Try and the only thing I managed was to change the name because I keep getting open network does not take passwords

Hi, currently, the security settings of range extenders follow the main router. So if the main router is encrypted, once the extender is successfully connected to the main router, the extended network would be encrypted as well.
