Model: Deco X50
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.6 Build 20230518 Rel. 60781

Hi,

Since last 2 month i constantly having issue with packet loss after upgrading the new firmware on Deco X50 main unit. X20 as hub

I do call isp and technician come over to check and find out issue with the mesh unit. Connected via wifi6, my PC and Deco not more than 5meter distance.

I do try few troubleshooting on the unit.

1. Try swap network cable between modem and router.

2. Ping Deco 192.168.68.1 - time fluctuate from 1ms up to 58ms. Not stable.

3. Try use X50 only - Issue still persist

4. Enable / Disable IPV6 - Same Problem, Packet Loss

Main Deco X50 CPU Load 75% Memory Usage 54% (after 5min CPU Load 21% Memory Usage 54%) Not stable and keep flactuate.

Deco X20 CPU Load 10% Memory Usage 51% ( Stable with the value)

Deco X50 - 3 Device Connected.

Deco X20 - 5 Device Connected.

Even use only Deco X50 the result of the CPU Load and Memory Usage still not stable. Is that unit defective or something wrong with the new firmware.

  @omars

Hi, welcome to the community.

Do you still remember the original firmware before updating to 1.2.6?

Is the PC the only device that had an issue with packet loss?

  • Can I have some screenshots of the ping tests?
  • Please also turn off "Mesh Technology" for the PC on the Deco APP.

  • Please also disable "Fast roaming" and "beamforming" on the Deco APP>More>Advanced to see whether it helped improve the unstable ping.

Do you have any wired device so that we could check whether the packet loss issue existed with the Ethernet Connection?

Thank you very much.

Best regards.
