Model: Archer AX73
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.0.2 Build 20220524 rel.51659(4555)

Have noticed some 5G channels are missing from my router's drop-down and also the highest channel it offers is 125dfs.

I read somewhere this is as the router is limited to EU WiFi directives. Thing is the UK left the EU a while back. Unless the UK has adopted the EU's directives anyway?

Purchased the router fron Amazon UK.

Doesn't look like the firmware for the router has been changed in a while either.

Curious oif the situation. My Galaxy S21's hotspot puts itself on Ch 149 which makes me think those higher 5G channels are allowed in the UK.

Look at the bottom sticker of your AX73.

Your device region is most probably "EU" and that's the reason for missing Band4: 149-165 (149,153,158,161,165) channels - to comply with CE certification in Europe:

"Notice for the (EU )Version of the Link Range Extenders:

The range extenders with EU version, which can be verified by the device bottom sticker, only supports Band 1/2/3, they don’t support Band 4 channels on 5GHz  to comply with CE certification in Europe. If your host Wi-Fi is fixed on Band 4 channels, the TP-Link range extender will not see it.

V Band1: 36-48   (36,40,44,48)
V Band2: 52-64   (DFS)
V Band3: 100-140 (DFS)
X Band4: 149-165 (149,153,158,161,165)"

If Band4 is allowed in the UK and you want to use these channels, you'll need a "US" region device to be able to use them.
