Under Consideration WiFi - Default 20Mhz channel on 2.4Ghz Band
1. Issue: IoT devices Tuya, Espressif, Raspberry etc facing continuous WiFi disconnection due to background noise in 2.4ghz band. By default Deco use 40Mhz width for communication currently makes entire network unstable (connection drop every 1-3 hours), even devices are only max 3-4 meter apart. Also smartphone sometimes switch to 2.4Ghz for some reason link are over 150Mpbs or 200Mbps but real speed are 4-11Mbps.
2. But when same IoT devices connect to 20Mhz width 2.4ghz (wr740n) even Deco network running in background frequent network gone like it's never exist. Ex - Devices Connected for over 4month seamlessly even a single connection drop and over 17meter apart, smartphone link are 72Mbps and [real 58Mbps].
3. Conclusion: People are requesting for manual channel selection in Deco model which not going to fix this issue, Also sometimes Deco switch to 20Mhz rarely which create same situation like wr740n. The issue is not channel it's the channel width.

This is clearly needed for 2,4Ghz band since using 40Mhz is a terrible ideia in most home environments. Please allow us to choose 20mhz and also the channels along with it.

What if you use the Wi-Fi Interference tool in the Deco Lab?
Even after "Network Optimization" is run and says "perfect," the Wi-Fi Interference tool in the Deco Lab almost always shows High interference on my 2.4GHz band. Often, it indicates that Deco has chosen the exact same channel as my next-door neighbor. Rarely, after a network reboot, it might show Medium for a day or two.
(M5 v3, four nodes, latest firmware)
Use Wi-Fi Interference tool in the Deco Lab to trigger 20MHz width when interference is Medium or High, and even actually try to find a clear(er) channel. The "Network Optimization" in the main settings is useless.
What is the point of an IoT net that doesn't work? From the other threads, this has been going on for well over two years, maybe longer.

Going to sell my four Deco's X75. Its impossible to work with such a closed down mesh system, where you cant even select the band and channels of 2,4Ghz not to speak about the 20MHz frequency.

+1,
Option to set 2.4Ghz channel width to 20Mhz only still missing.
Apple devices fail to work stable on 40 Mhz width.
Yet there is a selector 160<>80 for modern 5Ghz, come on.
