When you are connected to the extender router Archer C59, are you able to open the web management page of the Archer AX55 or ping the Archer AX55? (default address is 192.168.0.1)

 

Does your Archer C59 have a "WDS Mode" selector like shown in the picture below? If yes, then try both modes WDS1 and WDS2.

 

Hello, Thank you, I attempting pinging my Root Router and it didnt work. It failed to ping the host. Even with changing the WDS1/2, there is still no difference.

WDS2 mode requires the cooperation of the main router, which often doesn't work with newer router models, but WDS1 mode should almost always work.

 

Can you perform a "Factory Restore" on the C59 to have a clean starting point and then directly try again the WDS Bridging? Also select "WDS1" straight away.

Hello,
I tried the mentioned, Factory reseted. Immedietly chose WDS1 for Bridging, did other steps. Still No internet. Neither ping works to 192.168.0.1

Ok.

 

Maybe try one more time before we have to conclude that the WDS of the C59 is not compatible with the AX55.

 

1) factory-reset the C59 again
2) log into the Archer AX55 and verify that its LAN IP address is indeed 192.168.0.1
3) log into the Archer C59 and change its "LAN" IP address to 192.168.0.2
All on the C59:
4) "Enable" WDS Bridging, click "Survey", choose the Wi-Fi SSID of the AX55
5) set "WDS Mode" to WDS1
6) set Security to WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK and enter the Password of the AX55's Wi-Fi (we are assuming your AX55 is configured to allow WPA2-PSK as well)
7) go to the "DHCP Server" menu and deactivate the DHCP Server (uncheck "Enable DHCP Server")
8) reboot the C59

 

Then connect yourself to the C59 again and check whether you can ping both, 192.168.0.2 and 192.168.0.1.

 

Hello, just tried it and no progress. Still no internet.Its weird since it says assoc in WDS status. Thanks for help though.
