Archer AX90 Constant Internet Interruptions
Archer AX90 Constant Internet Interruptions
I am getting frequent interruptions with internet. Typically every 10-15 minutes with lost connection for ~5 seconds (for the last 2 years!). ISP is ATT Fiber at 1Gbps. I have assumed the problem was with the ISP, but I may suspect AX90 itself.
When I do a constant ping test to several IP addresses, I am getting lost packets when I ping to the router itself.
Current set up is the TP Link Archer AX90 acting as the main router with ATT router disabled. The ATT Modem/Router is set to IP Passthrough which passes the IPv4 address directly to the AX90. The ATT Modem is only using the modem function and all router functions are on the AX90 (firewall, NAT, etc.)
Constant pings to 1) Router IPv4 address 2) ATT Modem, and 3) ISP Default Gateway will all time out at the same times.
Is this an issue with the router itself?

Hi Kevin,
Router stopped working! Did the factory reset and the LED light has been red.
Waited for 20 minutes after factor reset LED light was red. I powered off and on the router. Still red led. I pressed the physical reset button with a pin and held until the LED lights flashed. The LED light still ended up red.

Have you tried to reconfigure it? Do you remember the WAN Connection Type on the AX90, is it PPPoE or Dynamic IP? Please change the WAN Connection Type to the correct one, then check again if the internet will be back.
If still no luck, can you please confirm if you're willing to receive a call-back on the phone? We can escalate the case to the Hotline Service department and ask them to help call you back and guide you to reconfigure the router. If you accept the call-back, please provide your phone number via private message with an appropriate time for a callback, then we will arrange a callback.
