Hi,

That's the steps:

1. I access the login page (192.168.0.1).

2. The system shows only the password box (without user box).

3. I write the last password I've created.

4. The router accept the password that I've entered, but generates another very long password by itself.

5. After that, the system doesn't accept any of the passwords, neither mine nor the fresh new one (is a ''Message too long for RSA').

Before that, I have two alternative:

a. I can reset the router (but I avoid it);

b. or I have to wait a few days to the router let me log in again with the same above conditions (steps 1 to 5).

My questions are:

i. Why does the system make the error of step 4?

ii. How can I avoid it?

Thanks.

PS: Right now, I cannot include the firmware version.

  @Andrew-tpl

Hi,

Can you maybe post a screenshot of the screen that shows the generated very long password? (of course you can overpaint the actual password on the screenshot)

Hi, @woozle.

Thank you for your prompt attention.

Yes, I will post some images as soon as possible, but I need those days I've mentioned in the item 'b'.

Thank you again, @woozle.

  @woozle ,

I guess I have found the "problem".

Some pages (such the tp-link login) don't accept the autofill browser function.

Those pages require necessarily clicking in the password field and typing it every time.

Unaware of that behavior, I used to press the button directly.

This attitude generated a fresh new and long password by the browser itself.

indecision

Thanks by the attention.
