Please consider enabling Band 4 on 5Ghz for TP-Link Wifi extenders and other products, as many other devices (routers, laptops, mobiles) sold in the UK market support Band 4. (aka channels 149-165).

  @MalJJ

Hi, thank you very much for the valuable feedback.

Previously, 5GHz band 4 is not allowed in UK or European, that is why our EU version Wireless products don't support 5GHz Band 4. Upon searching online, It seems that 5GHz band 4 is now allowed to use on SRD (short range device) with some requirement, I will report it to our senior engineer for evaluation to see if it is possible to support 5GHz Band 4 on our wireless devices.

Thanks for your prompt reply. It's good to hear the background story, and great to hear that support for Band 4 is now a possibility. And as you are aware, enabling this in the Tp-link devices would increase the capability and hence the popularity of your products. Would/could this be a software update to existing devices to enable Band 4?
