XE75 Very slow wifi after upgrade
XE75 Very slow wifi after upgrade
Hi
I bought a 3-pack and after setting the system up i could not get my hands down. when I ran speedtest from my iphone and laptop over wifi I alwayse got 750-800mb/s no matter where i'm in my house and we have a 1000mb/s line. Then I updated all units from mobile app and now I can only reach 85-95mb/s even if i'm right next to the main unit. I have not made any other changes to the configuration then the update. I get the same speed if I choose 2,4ghz, 5 ghz or both. With cable i got 950mb/s.
Anyone else who has the same issue after upgrading?

Hi, welcome to the community.
It is basically a small version upgrade from 1.1.10 to 1.1.11, you could also revert back to 1.1.10 via web UI directly.
Have you tried to restart the whole Deco Mesh once, then forget the network on the smartphone and connect it again to see whether the speed had any improvement?
Please also make sure the devices are connected to 5ghz, instead of 2.4ghz.
If the wireless speed is still capped at 100m/s, please refer to this link to help me check the current wireless link speed:

Wait for your reply.

I have tried every thing you that you suggest also revert firmware and it didn't help. I have also tried to reset all units and configure them again, but i'm still stuck on 95mb/s.
i tried How to check the associated/link speed on a wireless client
And result is 1.7Gbps

If I connect via cable I also get 95mbps on all units, so i get the exact same speed on both wireless and cable. If I connect my laptop directly to the modem i get 950mbps.

@TimGreiersen The "85-95mb/s" you report sounds suspiciously close to the limits of 100Mbps (not Gigabit / 1000Mbps) Ethernet. I'm wondering if a cable or Ethernet port somewhere is causing this reduced speed.
You may want to try disconnecting and reconnecting any cables between the Deco units and the rest of your network, or try switching Ethernet ports on the back of the Deco units, or try swapping Ethernet cables. Basically, trying to narrow down the specific source of the issue.

@TimGreiersen strange, does the issue come back if you disable QoS? shouldn't need to be on for you to get full speed

Well it's not solved yet. Enabling QoS only worked for 2-3 hours and then the max dropped to 90-95mbps again.

Hi, Thank you very much for the update.
I would like to forward your case to the senior engineers for further assistance. please check whether you could get an email from me later.
By the way, what are the devices that you used to test the speed, and can I have their model numbers?
And could you please reply to the email with some screenshots of the speedtest on these devices?
Wait for your reply.
Thanks a lot.
Best regards.

After Vito connected to my laptop today we got it to work, but now the speed is 95mb again. I have tried to reply to the last email to you and Vito but it can't be delivered.

Hi, I see that your email did get through the support system. But unfortunately, the engineers have left the office for May 1 Public Holiday.
I have left him a notice and hope he could give you an update as soon as possible.
Thank you very much.
Best regards.
