Hi!
So I recently bought a AX1500 and everything seems to work fine, besides the WiFi. it is acting weird, so I don't know if that's a functionality from the router or an error.

Basically what's happening is, the 2.4ghz network works fine, but the 5ghz works depending on the device, for example, in the mobile phones, 95% of the time, it only reaches 50MB when my internet speed is 200/200 (sometimes it actually reaches to 200MB, but it's completely random), but when connected to a laptop or another device, it actually reaches 200MB everytime.

QoS is off, and I tried to disable Smart Connect to only get connected to the 5ghz network, but it's the same.

This is making some activities like loading videos pretty slow, and I tried everything.

What's the 5G channel you are using at the moment? Try changing to 36 and test again.

 

There are other suggestions provided by TP-Link when responding to similar issues. You may have a check here.

Okay, so the 5G channel was set to automatic, I changed it to 36 and it didn't help. I also followed the suggestions in the other post, but I'm still having the same problem. I ruled out the possibility of it being a phone issue because sometimes it can reach up to 200MB, and every device connected has completely different speeds. Sometimes one phone can reach 200MB but not mine, and other times that phone can't reach 200MB but mine can.
