Model: Deco M9 Plus
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.5.1

Hi experts :-)

How do I force my Google Chromecast to always connect to the 2.4GHz network? I experience problems with the Chromecast when it connects to 5GHz.

I cant find the setting in the app - maybe because my Decos are using 1.5.1 firmware (no update available when I search)

Please help....

Best regards,

Jens S. Jespersen

  @Jens_Jespersen

This feature is called client's connection preference, described here: How to select a preferred signal source on the Deco App

This feature will be enabled in firmware 1.6 for Deco M9 Plus. That firmware has not been released yet, but you can try beta: https://community.tp-link.com/us/home/forum/topic/597476
