Hello,

I purchased a TL-SG108S switch.

There I connect port 1 to the router and ports 2 and 3 to two computers. Everything seems to work, but when I do a traceroute from one computer to the other one, I see the packets are being sent to the router before them reaches the other computer. I'm not an expert in networking, but is this how a switch should work? Should not be the packets sent directly to the other computer?

$ traceroute -M icmp 192.168.1.100
traceroute to 192.168.1.100 (192.168.1.100), 64 hops max
  1   192.168.1.1  2,051ms  5,051ms  1,694ms
  2   192.168.1.100  3,409ms  2,815ms  1,908ms

I'd want direct communication between this two computers, because I have a bottleneck in the communications with the router due to a PLC. Is this possible with this model?
