Model: Archer C60
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.2.0 Build 20201231 rel.39772(4555)

I have an Archer C60 v3.0 that I'm trying to use as a range extender ( WDS mode )

The main VDSL modem I'm using to connect to the internet is Archer VR600 , it connects to the internet and can be access wirelessly from clients.

The VR600 IP is : 192.168.1.1

On the C60 , my settings are as follows :

IP is : 192.168.1.201

DHCP is disabled

Operation mode : Router  ( if I change it to access point I don't get the WDS settings under system tools > system parameters )

System tools > System parameters

WDS bridging is enabled, and can select the wireless network on the VR600

Wireless status shows WDS is running ( screen shot attached )

The clients can connect to the C60 , but don't get an IP address and can't access the internet.

What am I missing  ?

I'm assuming the C60 should relay the DHCP requests to the VR600 and assign it to the clients

Any help is appreciated

It worked after changing WDS mode to WDS1 instead of Auto

Thanks

  @Moe29

From your description, you're not missing anything - here's the guide to configure WDS on C60.

Try rebooting the C60 after configuring the WDS and check if there's any difference.

Keep in mind that:

WDS may be incompatible between different products (even occasionally from the same vendor) since the IEEE 802.11-1999 standard does not define how to construct any such implementations or how stations interact to arrange for exchanging frames of this format.-----From Wikipedia
