Deco M5 not discovered to join an existing M9 network
Hello all
I have a wifi network made up of 3 x M9 Plus decos with this setup:
- Main deco is connected to the router. It is located in the ground floor
- 2nd deco is in the first floor. It is connected using Wifi
- 3rd deco is in the attic. This one is connected to the main deco using a ethernet cable.
They are using latest firmware available in Deco App (1.5.6 Build 20211018 Rel. 35617)
Because I am having some issues in the ground floor, I have bought a Deco M5 unit, and here comes the problem ;-)
If I try add this new one to the existing network, it is not discovered (the blue light is blinking but the app does not detect it).
If I try to add the new M5 configuring a new network (instead of adding it to the existing one), it is detected by the app.
I suspect it could be defective, but on the other hand it is strange that can be detected when configuring a new network.
Am I doing it right? Or should I create from scratch all the network, starting by add the M5 as main unit?
Thank you very much for your support.
