Hi,

I have set up my powerline adapters, I have 4 as well as the plug through unit, and I have managed to map my main network across to them all and can access this in every room including a Cabin at the end of my garden.

My question/query is that I can not access my guest network unless I am in range of the main router. Is this just a thing that can not be mapped or am I missing something?

Many thanks in advance of all replies and help.

  @Tiger75

Hi, Thanks for your time and patience.

When you said "I can not access my guest network", do you mean it is connected but has no internet service or the guest WiFi can not even be connected?

Do you use the same SSID on the main router and power line extenders?

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.

  @David-TP

Thank you for the reply.

My network is connected but I can not see my guest network from any of the extenders other than my main router.

I have copied the wifi settings from my main router onto all extenders and have the plug through one wired with an Etherley cable.

So, for example, if my home network is called TONY and my guest network is TONY'S GUEST then I can see TONY from every adaptor but TONY'S GUEST can only be seen when I am in close proximity to may main router.

I hope that makes sense...

  @Tiger75

Hi, the guest network on powerline adapters is disabled by default and I wonder whether you have enabled the guest network first on the WPA7617?

And if you copied the main network settings from the main router, have you copied the guest network settings as well? If not, 7617 would still use its own SSID.

Thank you very much.

Best regards.
