Model: Archer C5
Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version: 3.16.0 0.9.1 v6055.0 Build 200831 Rel.31419n

Hello,

I am trying to find whether there is a firmware update available for my router with the following details.

Hardware Version: Archer C5 v5 00000002

Firmware Version: 3.16.0 0.9.1 v6055.0 Build 200831 Rel.31419n

The TP-Link support page does not give any info on hardware version v5. Also, The router settings does not provide an option for automatic update. I have checked the support page and this forum for the firmware update and couldn't find any.

Hence, I request you to help me get the firmware update, if it is available.

Thank you.

You can check the router's bottom sticker for router model, exact HW version and FW region.

If this router has been provided to you by an ISP then most probably its FW has been customized - that's usually the case with Archer C5 v4.

If this was helpful click on the arrow pointing upward to make it blue. If this solves your issue, click the star to make it blue and mark the post as a "Recommended Solution".

Thanks for the response.
1. The HW & FW version that I have mentioned in my 1st msg is indeed obtained from the bottom sticker of my router.

2. My router was not obtained from the ISP. It was purchased.

That's interesting. TBH I've never seen this HW version of C5.

Just out of interest can you post a screenshot of your bottom sticker (just cover any MAC address or password if there's any).

In your case you should contact TP-Link tech support to be advised on your request - use this link to contact them.
