I have no idea what the hold up is on this. Even my year's old E4R Decos have been upgraded recently to include Eco Mode.

I realise many of us use the X50-Outdoor for motion sensing outdoor cameras and would probably need to turn off Eco Mode for the X50-Outdoor, but at least it would be good to utilise Eco Mode for the X50/55/60.

Of course, alternatively, why not simply allow Eco Mode when a X50-Outdoor is connected with the appropriate warrning that the Outdoor Deco is excluded from Eco Mode if the hardware cannot implement it?

It would be something to be able to use it for internal units. However, in my case I would like to disable the 5GHz network during the night and maybe also lower the power. All the sensors I have, cams and appliances work at 2.4GHz. I use the 5GHz network only to have a performance boost during the day but I don't like wasting energy unnecessarily and especially having a 5GHz network active in the bedroom. I hope this change will be implemented soon and I hope as many users as possible request this from TP Link periodically. I will certainly do so.
