New Arrival Deco X50-Outdoor
In November, TP-Link officially announced the introduction of three new Deco Models to provide a whole home mesh network: Deco X50-Outdoor, Deco X50–PoE, and Deco PX50-The new generation of G.hn Powerline Mesh. Now as the second member of the Deco POE family after Deco X50-POE, Deco X50-Outdoor starts exploring the outdoor deployment of Deco.
Set to release on December 20th, 2022, the Deco X50–Outdoor is now available for preorder on Amazon in the US. For other regions, please stay tuned for the update of this post. We have seen many users over the years attempt to use their indoor deco systems to try and expand their mesh network over longer distances, to other buildings, or simply to their pool. With Deco X50-Outdoor, your Deco Network can be officially extended beyond the confines of your walls without putting the device at risk.

@nictry Thanks, I can now see the item on Amazon, however it's not showing as available to buy from Amazon, only from a third party seller at some ridiculous markup (possibly shipped from USA). I wonder if the initial pre-order shipment has sold out already. Seems like this is the most sought after piece of wifi gear in a long time!

@AntonH ah - I ordered one (from Amazon @£129) but cancelled the order yesterday as my new X50s including one in the garage now give me perfect coverage across the garden so no longer needed it

@hasanou You will need set up a Deco system, meaning you'll need at least one other device connected by ethernet cable to your existing broadband router/modem. Also bear in mind that if you don't have a wired connection to your garden, you will be depending on the signal strength from the Deco device in the garden back to the nearest Deco device inside your house (this is called the "backhaul" connection).

I have 2x Deco X50 and I would like to add this outdoor model for the garden. Does it support the eco mode as well as my indoor X50 units?
Thank you

@MyDecoAtHome Thank you. Yes the same to me. And if I turn the outdoor one off, the ECO option appears again (even if as disable).
I hope it arrives a fw update because it was very convenient to me. I used to disable led and 5GHz network at night. And lately I was testing also the powersaving mode during the night.
