Firmware Version:

I have a tp-link router TL-WR841N(US) V14. My firmware version is 220914  published in 2022-09-21. Recently a new firmware was added which is 220816 released in 2022-11-23. But the version is older though it is published later. Now should I update from version 220914 to 220816?

The new FW release is with a name : TL-WR841Nv14_US_0.9.1_4.19_up_boot[220816-rel43928].bin

Your current FW release is with a name: TL-WR841Nv14_US_0.9.1_4.19_up_boot[220914-rel31655].bin

I would bet on the new one since its release number is higher than the current one.

But if you don't want to leave it to chance, you can contact your local TP-Link support to confirm this.
