Firmware Version: 1.2.2 Build 20220317 rel.50456(4555)

Hi,

I recently upgraded to 500/50mbps but unfortunately I am only getting up to 300mbps download speed from the TP-Link AX73 LAN ports. When connecting the same devices to the ISP's modem/router I am getting 500-510mbps download speed. Here are the things I have tried:

  • Different devices
  • Different cables
  • Restarting AX73
  • Upgrading to latest firmware
  • Set Internet Port Negotiation Speed Setting to 1000Mbps Full Duplex
  • WiFi Speeds exceed 350Mbps

So it seems that either there is some setting that caps the download speed or there is some hardware fault. I have seen that other users are experiencing the same issue but didnt find any solution. I am attaching photos from the speedtests performed while connected to the ISP's modem/router and the AX73.

@AlexTgrd

Check the QoS settings on the AX73, and try disabling it as suggested in this FAQ.

Hi ask your ISP's to put their router in bridget mode and automatically remains on the power supply for the second router your Archer AX 73 V1 maybe that's why you have speed problems because you have 2 routers working

@LordBeerus How come the problem didnt occur when the bandwidth was 100/10 and only started after upgrading to 500/50?

Sorry, but I don't see you mentioned that in your original post.

Anyway, can you confirm what is the negotiation speed you can get when the devices are connected to the AX73 via LAN cable? Are they all negotiated correctly at 1.0 Gbps?

What kind of cables have you tried? Please try cat 6 or cat 7 if possible.

@Liverpool20 Happy new year and sorry for the late reply but I was in my hometown for vacation.

Now that I'm back I ran a couple more tests. Connected an old router thats costs 30€ to my modem and ran a speed test. Here are the results from my laptop with a wired connection:

Then, using the same cable ran the same test while having the laptop connected to the AX73 and here are the results:

I am waiting for Cat6 and Cat7 cables to be delivered tomorrow or the day after and will try again but I doubt that anything will change.

I have to say I'm really disappointed from the AX73 and TP-Link overall...

@Liverpool20 Heres the negotiation speed: https://prnt.sc/8ce0QwHld70u

And heres the speed using Cat7 cables:

I must say I am deeply disappointed given a 30€ can actually provide 500/50 and the 150€ won't do what it's supposed to.
