AC2600 MU-MIMO Wi-Fi Router Archer A10 - better signal than before but streams are now buffering
I recently purchased the Wi-Fi router in the title.
The signal is so much stronger than before, especially on the 5GHz. Which is what I used to connect my smart TV to for streaming.
I have noticed that when watching Prime Video shows every now and then I get the "blurry" buffering and when watching Stan the stream annoyingly pauses quite a few times whilst watching. The shows I have been watching are in UHD/4K where this is occuring. I haven't tried Netflix or Disney + as the shows I am watching currently are on those already mentioned streaming services.
My previous modem was far inferior and the 5GHz was considered a "weak" or "poor" signal where our TV is. So I wanted an upgrade which with the Archer the signal is now "good" quality but it seems that it is not performing as well.
I did recently change internet providers but I am still on a Standard Plus NBN, the speedtests are arguably much better than the previous provider also.
I have changed the channel on the Archer, and the Channel Bandwidth also.
Does anyone have an idea of why this is happening? The TV firmware is up to date, and I have tried reinstalling the apps also. The TV is a Samsung MU6100 55' AK UHD. I use the apps straight from the TV, no Chromecast or other streaming equipment. Again, to note, this issue was not happening with the previous Wi-Fi router using the same methods.
Please do not recommend getting a mesh or extender, I am really not interested in buying more things to improve the internet quality when based on the signal it should be much better than before.
Please note, I tried switching to 2,4GHz and the same thing occured.
