Model: Deco M9 Plus
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

I'll continue this message to have this logged.

Same errors as mentioned in https://community.tp-link.com/en/business/forum/topic/236538?page=2

Sun Nov 13 08:24:18 2022 user.err csrMeshGw[5929]:

Sun Nov 13 08:24:18 2022 daemon.err nrd[11503]: estimatorDot11kIterateCB: Timeout waiting

And status shows that the Deco isn't connected to the internet. Rebooted already multiple times as well as the main router (FritzBox 7590) with no success yet.

This morning it started with all deco's having a red light. Finally it's green but noticing these errors. I can connect to the internet because of the other wifinetwork and lancable connected to the Fritzbox.

When typing this I did another check and noticed that the DNS-server which is being used by the Deco's wasn't available (seemed that my pihole-docker-container wasn't started anymore). Need to enter a secondary DNS, but unfortunately it won't let me do it, so when connected to the Fritzbox it gives the DNS configured to use the pihole, but can't add a secondary dns there.

Note: the errormessages don't disappear though:

@DikkieDick Thanks for the feedback. I did consult these logs with engineers before and they explained these logs are more related to the Mesh compatibility(802.11 k/v/r) on the clients, not the network status of the internet connection.

Did Deco turn red again in the last 2 days?

If yes, I hope you could help me check the IPV4 status on the Deco APP, and please save a screenshot of the IPV4 settings under Deco APP>More>Advanced>IPV4 when Deco turned red.

As for the DNS settings, Deco does not allow WAN DNS servers being the same IP range as the LAN IP range so if you want to use Pi-hole as the DNS server, have you tried to set it up as the LAN DNS, such as: How to use Pi-Hole DNS Server on TP-Link routers

And I see FritzBox 7590 is also a wireless router. Have you ever considered setting up Deco into access point mode and leaving FritzBox 7590 as the only DHCP/DNS server?

Thank you very much.

Best regards.

  @David-TP

Well, it did turn one time red, but that was due to the same issue. Pihole on Raspberry Pi2 attached to Fritzbox wasn't started (properly).

I could use Deco as accesspoints but I have my HomeAssistant setup behind the Deco so that would be a 'hell of a job'. Maybe one day.
