Hi

 

I have a Virgin Media Hub 4 with a gigabit connection. This is connected in modem mode to my AX11000 via a Cat 6 cable. If I connect my MacBook Pro to the AX11000 by ethernet, the best speed I get is around 650 Mbps. This is similar to the speed I get if I use the AX11000 internal speed checker. However, if I connect my Mac by ethernet to the Hub 4, I get around 850 Mbps. Does anyone have any suggestions about how to speed up the AX11000?

Hi Mike, I'm wondering if you have ever changed the QoS settings on the AX11000. If yes, I suggest disabling that or just manually inputting the actual bandwidth provided by Virgin Media, then testing the speed again.

 

Here you will find how to turn off the QoS settings.
