Hello,

I'm considering a powerline adapter to add ethernet in other areas of my apartment. The wifi extension on these models is appealing, but I have a non-TP Link Modem/Router (Netgear Nighthawk). I was wondering if it was still possible to use the Wi-Fi extension capabilities of the 8631P adapter without using the OneMesh feature? Would I be better off with a different model because I don't have a TP Link router?

Hello @dpblacklabel

TL-WPA8631P can work with a different brand of router as the normal powerline kit, one mesh is just an added feature if you own a OneMesh router.

This means without you can still use all the capability of the powerline kit except for the OneMesh.

Personally, I think theTL-WPA8631P is a good one and here are some tips for you to select the powerline kit,
