Model: TL-WR845N
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 0.9.1.3.17 v0001.0 Build 201214 Rel.67500n

I have a internet plan of 200 mbps but the router doesn't go above 100 mbps even though it says upto 300 mbps.

I checked directly from cable it shows around more than 180 mbps but router slows it down.

Is there any settings that can be changed to resolve this.

Hey

Sadly not is the short answer.  What you are experiencing is the limitations of the N grade router (also known as WiFi4), this router has a 100MB LAN cable connection so that is your limiting factor there.   There is also a possible WiFi limitation

The router you have is N Grade and can support up to 300mbps on 2.4ghz frequency.   Sadly the nature of modern WiFi means the 2.4ghz is VERY congested and performance does suffer as a result, that is why they moved to 5ghz (and now 6ghz)

When running a N Grade device on 2.4ghz its expected that speeds would be around 72/80mbps so you are doing quite well at 100.

If you want faster you will need to move to a WiFi5 (AC Grade) or WiFi6 (AX Grade) device and use the 5ghz frequency, that should get you around 400mbps or more over WiFi and have a 1000MB LAN port, which is faster than your internet so perfect!
