They would be the first batch of HomeShield models to have customized signal source and connection preference as well as other features available on 1.6.0 of M5.

More details about New Features/Enhancement:

Notes:
1. Please update your Deco APP to the latest version for the new features.
2. If there are non-1.6.0/1.1.0 models in the Mesh network, you may miss some new features but this feature will be supported via firmware update in the future.
3. You may miss some new features when Deco is set to Access Point mode.

As usual, the 1.6.0/1.1.0 firmware version is a leap forward and any feedback after the firmware upgrade will be highly valued. If you have any confusion about the firmware upgrade, please feel free to comment below.

@David-TP I have X20 v4  1.02 firmare  and main X50 v1  1.1 beta firmware.SSID Homemesh (5ghz only / 2.4ghz disable)    when I move around the apartment , the laptop does not switch to x20 . It didn't happen with the old firmware. this happens after using the diagnostics menu  APP 3.0 beta   and after pressing optimize network button /

  @xplodzs

Hi, Thanks for your feedback.

The blank hidden SSID-CECF should be the 5ghz backhaul from Deco X20. It is quite strange that there is no signal strength as well.

Is the laptop the only device that could not switch to Deco X20 when it is very close to Deco X20? If yes, can I have its model?

Comparing the two HomeMesh signals here, the one from X50 is -78dbm with 2402m/s max rate and signal from Deco X20 is -69dbm, a little higher but with a lower link rate 1201m/s.  It is not a bad choice for the laptop to connect to Deco X50 over Deco X20.

By the way, Since 1.1.0 on Deco X50 supported choosing preferred Deco and band, I guess you did not try to fix the connection preference for this laptop?

Thank you very much.

Best regards.

  @David-TP I'm in line of sight at 3 meters from X20v4 .

the intel adapter AX210 (is visible in the screenshot). latest drivers from INTEL WEB   . only notebook   have this problem

if the router selects x50 . then high ping in online games(Geforce NOW)

rollout beta  firmware 1.1 to X20 v4. so that I can choose a preference .  without firmware 1.1 X20v4  no settings on the X50 (DECO 3.0 APP)

maybe something wrong in log?

Today work fine

and look previous log /  different  -   in previous log  massive  error "Tue Nov  8 20:24:12 2022 daemon.err nrd[13040]: wlanifMapToBandwidth: Invalid bandwidth from driver: 3"

  @David-TP

I love this firmware version 1.1.0! I was waiting for it. I had 3 Deco M5 version 1.6 and did an upgrade to 3 Deco X50.

I have found a small problem with this new version: I have an IP camera 2.4 and 5gb. When I prefer this camera to connect to the Deco "Lavadero" on 5GB (it is the closest Deco), this camera stays connected on the Deco "Living" on 5gb and the Deco software does not show on which Deco it is connected. I attach 4 screenshots to know the problem and the topology.

I remember that when I contributed in previous beta versions of Deco M5 1.6 this problem I also had this problem

The other problem I can observe, but not related to this Deco firmware version, is with the Deco software. This includes a feature that when a new user connects to the network, an alert appears on my mobile. In this case, this feature does not work. In the case of the Deco M5 it works fine (I still have them and have done several tests).
I clarify that I have this feature enabled before you ask me.

Regards, Javier

  @JavierC

Thanks a lot for the feedback.

May I know the model number of the IP camera and could you please refer to this link to help me submit the APP log:

How to submit Deco APP log

By the way, if there is no alert on the smartphone screen, will you see any notifications in the Message box on the APP?

Best regards.

  @JavierC

Hi, I have a couple of ipcameras and a similar setup as yours. I've additionally disabled "tecnología en malla". They are working fine. Despite a possible bug in the firmware, I would try that.

Regards
