So we recently upgraded our modem to 1gb I have g=done a speed test at the router and speeds are 900mb however when i do a speed test on my laptop or phone on wifi im only getting 40mbs.

 

Reading the specs I should be getting close to 3000mb with wifi6 what settings should i be looking at to recive more speed.

Hi, My advice would be:

1. please make sure the QOS is set to 1000m/s download and upload.

2. turn off the 2.4ghz and make sure the device is connected to 5ghz.

3. check the wireless link speed and make sure the device is capable of WiFi 6:How to check the associated/link speed on a wireless client

If the above suggestions did not help locate the problem, you could also run a speedtest on Deco APP>More and it will tell you the total bandwidth that Deco could get from the front modem router. It is also suggested to connect the wired laptop to the main Deco directly to test the Ethernet speed from the main Deco X60.
