Just changed my deco into access mode from router mode. I know have 2 Wi-Fi connections available to me, my ISP and my current Deco network.

Are these the same, or is the connection either to the Deco network or direct to my ISP router, in my case Virgin hub 3?

These are two separate WiFi networks, even if you make them run with same SSID. It is recommended to turn off Virgin hub WiFi, if you want mobile devices to have seamless transfer between WiFi mesh nodes.
