Hi - I have a Deco S4 AC1200 3 piece setup. I need an additional unit to extend to another part of the house, but single units are not available to buy. Will another Deco like the E4 or M4 connect to this setup or will I need to buy another S4 3 piece set?

You can buy different Deco model, single unit, and add it to your Deco mesh. I would recommend choosing from the following TP-Link Deco models an addition to your Deco S4 mesh: Deco E4, Deco M4, and Deco M5.
Note that Deco E4 has 100Mbps Ethernet ports (fast Ethernet), not gigabit. Every other model on that list has gigabit Ethernet ports.
If you plan to use E4 as Satellite Deco wirelessly connected to the rest of your Deco mesh, E4 performance won't be different from S4. If you plan to have Deco E4 Ethernet wired, its Internet speed will be limited by 100Mbps.
