I've also been experiencing some strange disconnects on my devices. After upgrading everything was fine for a few days but then noticed some devices flapping. I've turned off fast roaming a d it seems to have helped as mentioned. It's not all devices that have issues. So far I've noticed my Samsung s22u and my Logitech harmony hubs and one Samsung tv.

Hi @David-TP , any feedback please?
--
After a week of experimenting with global "Fast roaming" and individual tweaking, it's a no go for me.
The benefits of selecting preferred connection sources are way less than the stability of the connection when walking through my property.
I've been using the same router setup (6 x Deco M9 Plus) without big issues while using 1.5.6, but this version 1.6.0 destroys the benefits of Fast roaming.
Can you please instruct me how to go back to 1.5.6_211018?

Thanks for the feedback.
I used to see there are several different versions of parental control on our products and one of the old version is just like what you want " release only some access at certain times", such as https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/1531/ and gradually more newer models apply to the latest version of parental which is what you have seen on Deco M9 plus. It is not likely the engineers will bring it back but it would be highly appreciated if you could start a new thread here to let me know how many other users would have the same request, So that the engineers would have the chance to know what is best for users.
Best regards.

Hi, Sorry for the delay.
From firmware 1.6.0 to 1.5.x, takitkat is right and it needs to done via firmware recovery first.
There would be a better way to do it to save the current configuration:
1. Pick one of the satellite unit and do the firmware recovery first and restore it back to 1.5.7.
2. Then add it back to the previous mesh network and change it to be the main Deco.
3. After that, you could perform the firmware recovery on two other Deco M9 plus.

Hi @David-TP ,
Thanks for the clarification.
I tried the downgrade of 1 Deco (as suggested) to version 1.5.6 but after the downgrade, it was unable to connect to the network again. The LED stayed red-blinking.
Did it twice, without any luck.
I finally upgraded again to 1.6.0 and went back online.
But, still, I have an unstable set of 6 x Deco M9 Plus.
So, conclusion, downgrade is unreliable, as the Deco's are now.
So, please remind the development team to quickly fix the unstable (fast) roaming behaviour. And, as you can see in other posts on this thread, I'm not the only one.
