 Hello  @Noctis6_

Thank you for the help from terziyski, here are some other tips if PC does not see 5Ghz of the range extender.

  • Ensure PC could see other nearby 5Ghz Wi-Fi signals
  • Try a different device. It is recommended to check if a mobile device like phone could see Range extender 5Ghz SSID.

If the phone could see RE's 5Ghz, most likely PC Wi-Fi adapter only supports 2.4Ghz, and a dual-band Wi-Fi network adapter is required to see 5Ghz wifi bands.

If still the same, try a factory reset on the range extender

Range extender should broadcast both 2.4Ghz & 5Ghz Wi-Fi band in default state after a factory reset

Use this guide to check if the RE450 is configured and positioned properly in the range of your main router.

Also you can use this guide to see how can you position the RE450 for optimal reception and performance.

Yes! My Iphone is able to detect the 5GHZ Wifi, i think my wifi adapter does not support 5GHZ. Question, what if i use an Ethernet cable? If i plug one in, will i automatically have 5GHZ wifi, or will i still need an better adapter to choose the 5GHZ option?

Thank you for the help. I think it's just that my wifi adapter doesn't support 5GHZ, like Solla said.

  Hello @Noctis6_

The 2.4Ghz wifi adapter seems to the cause.  You may take a look at dual-band wifi adapter that supports both 2.4Ghz& 5Ghz wifi network like tp-link dual-band Wi-Fi adapter here

Sometimes the adapter is plug and play as Windows computer itself can find an driver for the adapter, but usually you need to manually download and install the driver for the adapter. Hope this helps!
