  @Kevin_Z

There is a new firmware -- I don't know if it addresses this problem or not.

I have not yet updated my AX6000

  @lklawrie ,

Not certain I follow ... I'm only seeing the following "latest" firmware versions:

AX6000 Firmware:

Download Center: 1.3.0 Build 20221208 rel.45145       (Archer AX6000(CA)_V1_221208.zip)
This Thread    : 1.3.0 Build 20230303 rel.35566(4341) (ax6000v1-up-ver1-3-0-P1[20230303-rel35566]_starlink_beta.zip)

@hgagne is correct. The latest official 1.3.0 Build 20221208 version has not yet addressed the Starlink Gen 2 concern. You may check the release note for reference.

  @Kevin_Z is it safe to say that there's never going to be a Fix. Based on seeing this almost 2 year old thread about the issue.  I just purchased a new ax11,000 not knowing that this issue existed. I try to duplicate my home net work at the cottage my ax11,000 connect to the Starlink however the speeds fluctuate from 10 to 70 mbps and the Internet to the devices doesn't really work. Would it make more sense for me to return this router well I still can or is an actual fix coming?

  @Coolneans_1,

Configure the AX11000 with a WAN Static route to the StarLink Wi-Fi router if you haven't done so and have placed the StarLink router into Bypass Mode.

You can then use the StarLink mobile app to perform a speedtest using the mobile app which uses the built-in StarLink speedtest.  If you see the same fluctuations, you can at least confirm that it's not the router since the speedtest is happening outside the AX11000 WAN.

This link as the info you need to setup the static route:

  @hgagne added static routing, like the instruction said. Nothing changed. The Starlink app is still reading 500 download 20 upload. with the TP link router router speed is fluctuating between 9 download and 100 download.

  @Coolneans_1

The purpose of adding the static route is to allow access to the StarLink device - from behind your router - so as to view the settings currently applied to the StarLink and also run the internal speedtest via the StarLink app.

Based on your reply, it would appear that when you run the speedtest from behind the AX router, the speeds are substantially lower and when you run the speedtest using the StarLink app, which are substantially higher.

Assumptions here are: the StarLink is in Bypass mode, the BETA firmware from this thread has been applied to the AX, the WAN adapter on the AX is set to auto-negotiate.

If this is the case, you now have sufficient information to make a decision as to wether-or-not to return the router and purchase a different brand.

@Coolneans_1

Are you saying the internet speed is not good when connecting the AX11000 to the Starlink Gen 2 via the adapter? Can I know the bandwidth you paid for the internet? How about the speed if you connect the computer directly to the Gen 2 adapter?

Please try to reset the AX11000 to factory defaults, and refer to this FAQ to set it up again to observe if the internet connection is good.

  @Axel1999ca

Hey Axel1999caLV1, glad to hear that you're now connected! In terms of maximizing the performance of your Archer AX6000/AX11000 router, there are a few things you can try. Firstly, make sure that your router's firmware is up to date as manufacturers often release updates to improve performance and Learn address any known issues. Additionally, you can optimize your network settings by adjusting the channel width, enabling Quality of Service (QoS) features, and ensuring that you're using the latest Wi-Fi standards (e.g., Wi-Fi 6). Lastly, consider the placement of your router to minimize interference and maximize signal strength. Experiment with different locations or consider using a Wi-Fi extender if needed. Hope these tips help you get the most out of your router's performance!

  @Coolneans_1 is it any advantage to use the 1gb port instead?
