Model: Archer AX72
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.7 Build 20220401 rel.43893(5553)

I remembered getting a new update for my AX72 a few weeks or was it already a month ago to fix the bugs as it is said in its "update description"
but to think that my own router would be useless after the update was really unbecoming of TP-Link. >.< more or less.

Okay, so here it is. The problem...
QoS is dead or should I say alive and working BUT it isn't working properly as expected. You can turn it on and off but the priority list is ruined.
Whether you are using the router freely or subscribed in the monthly subscription since it is under the Homeshield feature,
QoS should work properly as I have used it for quite a while now and it is FREE...

Turning on this fella should restrict or limit the bandwidth of the users connected to the router and adding the devices into the Priority List should give you the full bandwidth of your internet speed. However, after this update, that "Priority List" is not so prioritized anymore. Homeshield's QoS still restricts and limit the bandwidth of the users even if you're in the High Priority devices.

I actually bought this from Shopee PH(official retailer) and emailed them through here Contact Technical Support | TP-Link Philippines weeks ago... or maybe it is already a month.
No replies whatsoever. There's actually no community forum for TP-Link PH and so I decided to post a thread here.
Since I got the US version from PH's retailer, I thought that this should be obvious. Correct me if I'm wrong though.
Anyway, I hope there will be some fixes coming or I won't be able to utilize this properly as it cost me around or less than 120USD for this.

Hello @ThreadingThisMe

QoS, Quality of Service, as its name suggests, is designed to ensure enough bandwidth for critical network traffic under limited network capacity conditions. The core of QoS is assigning different priorities to different applications and handling each accordingly. The precondition of QoS options lets the router “prioritize” the type of traffic that will be transmitted first, but this doesn't mean it assigns full bandwidth to the prioritized device.

Back to the issue you are reporting, can you confirm how does QoS work before the firmware upgrade? I would suggest you check the QoS settings on the router as follows, just to be sure all are correct:

How to configure the HomeShield QoS feature on a TP-Link Router

Sorry that I'm not sure why there is no response from the Philippines support team, but I would contact them to see if their email system is still up and running, you can also contact them via a phone call, and the hotline number can be found below:

Hello  @Kevin_Z, thanks for the reply.

As I've said before, the normal Operation of QoS  while enabled before the latest update should give most of the internet bandwidth for "High Priority Device", meaning if I were to have 50Mbps, the devices who are in priority can share the bandwidth without trouble.

and the devices who aren't in the lists are not, and by modifying the value from the "Total Bandwidth" option (the default values should be 1000 each for Download and Upload speed) will be restricted.

Example: If I were to modify the value below from 100 to 10, the restricted devices or devices who are not in the "High Priority Device" shall only be given 10Mbps of bandwidth speed and all restricted devices will share the said bandwidth speed which was really ideal and wonderful to have.

After the update:

Modifying the said "Total Bandwidth" option that can restrict "non-prioritized devices" shall be applied to all devices including the "High Priority Devices".

Example: If I were to modify the "Total Bandwidth" from 100 to 10. All devices shall be restricted and can only use 10Mbps and the "High Priority Device" option are null and void, meaning, even adding devices to the High Priority Device won't get their "priority".
