Hi, Can some tell me the best set up for my Sky Q SR203 router & deco m5 AC1300.    By adding the 3 decos it hasn't made much difference to the signal strength around my house.  Ive just changed the settings in the app to access my point to see if that helps.  The main deco is connected via cable to the sr203 hub.
Do I need too change the settings in sky,  so it works as a modem  and doesn't send out its own signal?

keep any replies simple for me  to understand 😆

thank

  @Protocol

Hi, welcome to the community.

With your current configuration: Sky SR203 is on the default DSL modem router mode and Deco M5 is on the AP mode.

Do you have enough wireless coverage but the speed in some places is not expected? Or 3*M5 could not even cover the whole house?

--if it is not having enough coverage, adding one more Deco M5 or M4 will be a good suggestion.

--if it is the speed issue, Are you able to connect more Deco M5s via Ethernet cable to SR203, such as General questions about Ethernet Backhaul feature on your Deco

Best regards.

  @David-TP

Hi, it's more about the coverage. It's not a massive house so I assumed 3 deco's would be enough but some rooms still struggle to pick up the signal.

I was thinking of turning the deco back to router mode for the security features, then hard wiring the skybox from either the hub or deco ( unsure if it makes a difference which one). By doing that it means the main deco will be positioned better and hopefully the signal spread will cover more area.  I'll turn of the sky WiFi as it will no longer be used. Then reposition the other two decos. If it's no better I'll get more decos.
