Model: Deco M5
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.5.7

Dear Support,

Since Yesterday I have installed the Deco M5. I have good signal everywhere but the Speed is really like 10 of the actual speed I have,

I have 1GB ups/down,

But when I try Speed test it shows 100Mps/ or max 200Mbps

my request or question is, is there away to check this and make it better if possible.

The main Deco is connected to ISP modem with a CAT5E cable,

when I use the same cable on my Laptop the speedtest comes around 800/900Mbps

I have bough this Deco to have good speed, but seems not helping much or I did something wrong,

Any help will be much appreciated

Regards,

najib

  @Najib welcome to the community.

"when I try Speed test it shows 100Mps/ or max 200Mbps", is this client connected to Deco via Wi-Fi or Ethernet or using "Test internet speed" on the Deco APP>More?

Could you please also check the link speed on the client:

How to check the associated/link speed on a wired client

How to check the associated/link speed on a wireless client

And there are some suggestions for your reference:

1. Please make sure QOS is disabled or set to 1000 upload/download.

2. Turn off UPNP under Deco APP>More>Advanced.

3. Please temporarily turn off the 2.4gh and leave 5ghz only and run the speed test again.

Thank you very much.

Best regards.
