Model: TL-WPA7510 KIT
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 2.0.2 Build 20190610 Rel.50850 (latest at the time of opening this and still now)

Hello,

I've bought the kit 4 months ago and am considering returning it.

As of late, the Wi-Fi module stops providing internet through its 5GHz network. The 2.4GHz one works as normal. The coping mechanism is to unplug it and plug it back in; A simple restart.

Why would this be happening all of a sudden?

  @Gandeloft

Ive noticed that the current build you are using is not one of the released builds by the United States Support Team. I would reccommend getting in contact with the support community for the region in which you purchased your product. This way you can be sure that you will have the firmware correct for your product.

 Hello  @Gandeloft

If 2.4Ghz work stably but only 5Ghz is unstable, try to login web page of the Wi-Fi power line unit and change a different WiFi channel for 5Ghz:

 5Ghz channel 36/40/44/48 ; channel width 40Mhz are recommended

 Follow guide here and login web through tpPLC Utlity- Global icon: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/1417/

The 5GHz channel is set to automatic.

There aren't almost any 5g networks in the vicinity.

I think that it is a software issue.

A restart of the extender brings 5GHz back to live.

The extender is less than 1m away from my phone and when 5GHz stops working the connection provided via the Ethernet cable to my PC from the extender continues working without a hiccup.

I'm right now experiencing only getting 5.38 Mbps out of the usual 100+ mbps on my PC connected via an ethernet cable to the unit. This has happened many times as of late, I've just always thought that it's something else and not my powerline adapter, but seeing as it didn't occur prior, I'm concluding that the issue is the TP-7510 unit.

It is 2:30 AM, I am the only one up and no other electrical devices are turned on in my home so that is why I believe that the issue is in the TP-7510 unit, and it's also worthy a mention that I've never noticed there being issues caused by a lot of power surging through the wires through which the network is propagated..
