Model: Deco X20
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.0 build 20211224

Hey! I got a new set of Deco X20 a couple of weeks ago and I've got to say, so far, the worst piece of networking hardware I've ever used. Even worse than the Virgin 3 hub I bought them to replace.

Various issues keep occurring, right now it's frequent disconnections from the modem. Usually 2-3 per day. Today it's now 3pm and I've already had 4 disconnects.

everything is fine, then both Decos (2 set up) go offline, green light turns red and I have to reboot the main unit to get connection back. Very occasionally if I leave it long enough it'll reconnect by itself. But rarely.

I'm yet to find a cause. A few times it seems to have happen when a new device tries to connect to the network. Though doesn't seem to be every time.

I've slowly been reserving ip addresses for devices, and a few things I've been turning mesh off for in case it's an issue with the seamless transition between units, but all of this feels like defeating the whole purpose of a mesh network.

any help appreciated. This is my last few days before I just give up and send it all back and buy a traditional router from another brand.

Thanks!

I have a similar problem.

I have noticed that the disconnection happens when there is high bandwith usage, and when i use a network speed tester. When it reaches a certain speed it crashes, blinks red then restarts in a few seconds. Very frustrating. I have to manualy limit apps (Steam downloading ) network bandwith in order to avoid disconnections.

Please help.
