  @Tooter

My post wasn't aimed at you, it was automatically added by their "voting" system. Now deleted.

I was just pointing out to TP-Link again the madness of going to the trouble of creating a post highligting the issues with a single SSID, receiving 9 pages of complaints about that lack of functionality over 18 months & still choosing not to address it. no

I have 1.1gbps broadband however because the SSID channels on Deco are merged I can only achieve 450Mbps. Please allow multiple SSID's so we can create dedicated 5ghz and acheive max speed.

@Woody999000, et al.,

To fix this, follow these steps (make sure you're already connected to the Wi-Fi network on the respective device):

1. Launch the Deco app

2. Go to your Wi-Fi network

3. Click on "Online Clients"

4. Click on desired device, e.g. laptop

5. Click on "Connection Preference"

6. Click on "Preferred Wi-Fi Band", select 2.4, 5 or 6 GHz, click "Save" in the top right

7. Repeat steps 3-6 for all other devices

  @g003491

Hi, are you still having this issue now? You could try to restart the whole Deco system once to see whether it helped.

If you went to WLAN settings on the iPhone 14, are you able to manually reconnect to Deco 5 GHz-only Wi-Fi?

Thank you very much and wait for your reply.

  @David-TP

If I buy the X75 system, would I be able to setup a 2.4ghz network first to assign all my smart lights (strict 2.4g only, mixed network doesn't connect), set all of these to 2.4G only and later convert the network to mixed 2.4/5/6G after setting up those lights?
