What is happening? I am getting almost 5g down, but less than 1g up.

You could try a different speediest server ( select 'change server' .) and see if that makes any difference

Test upload speed of another wired PC when connected to the same Ethernet cable?
You may try different Ethernet cable if you got one
Try a different Ethernet port on switch/ router
Disable VPN on the computer

What is the OS of computer? Can I know what is your ISP upload& download bandwidth? Please check the wired Link speed & computer motherboard & system information and share a photo here, thank you.
