Daisy chaining Deco M4R not working

Model: Deco M4

Hardware Version: V2

Firmware Version: 1.5.4 Build 20220113

I have 3 Decos setup in a line, arranged as follows

A (main) <-> B <-> C

C insists on always choosing A as the source, even though B is much closer.

I actually just purchased B to improve the connection, and it hasn't helped at all.

How can I manually choose the source Deco for C to be B instead?
