Hardware Version: V7
Firmware Version: 1.5.7

Hello,

 

My wifi dongle cannot connect to my Deco M5.

The dongle can connect to other networks, except to the Deco's. Also it cannot connect in guest mode.

Do you guys have a sollution?

 

I tried: 

switching of fast roaming

switching of beamforwarding

switching of 5Ghz

switching of anti-virus

switching of te firewall

 

The Deco can connect with other devices except te dongle.

The dongle can connect with othe devices.

Hi, Thank you for the feedback and may I know the model number of your Wi-Fi dongle?

Would there be any error message when failing to connect the wireless network of Deco?

Hi Dave,  

 

"secured" Can not make a connection with this network.

 

I'm using a Realtek TTL8188FTV Wireless LAN 802.11n USB 2.0 Network Adapter

Hi, the wireless adapter is quite old, and have you tried to install the latest driver of the adapter?

At the same time, please help me run a simple test:

1. enable guest network for 2.4ghz only with a different SSID.

2. change the security type to none or WPA2-psk[AES]+WPA-PSK[TKIP]

3. then test again whether you could connect to the guest network.

Guest network and change of security type did not work. I suspect it's the driver. It's for 2018 and a newer one is'nt there. Only conclusion I can make is buying an other dongle.
