2 routers keep hanging!

Model: TL-WR840N
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 3.16.9 Build 160406 Rel.40792n

2 identical routers, both freeze either simultaneously or shortly one after the other.

The way they are set up is ISP fibr optic router > switch > the 2 routers.

What happening is that the wifi will disconnect and you can't connect to them. Sometimes this happens once a day, sometimes every hour.

So you have to restart the routers and only then can you connect to them. A few hours/a day later they will disconnect you again.

What I noticed is that you can't even reset the routers when this happens. You'll have to first restart the routers. Obviously resetting isn't working.

Any ideas what's going on?

Hello @Lausha, thank you for reaching out to us, and welcome to the TP-Link community.

Can I have the model of the ISP fiber optic router and the switch that the routers connect to? What if you disconnect the routers from the switch, and only power them on, will they freeze or hang? If not, I guess there might be settings on the switch that conflict with the router, which causes the router to freeze.

Or you can try connecting one of the routers directly to the ISP fiber router, will it freeze?
