Model: Deco M5
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 20220214 Rel. 44993

It was suggested that I start a new thread with my situation

Deco M5

New Firmware Version:

1.6.0 Build 20220214 Rel. 44993

Deco M3W

New Firmware Version:

1.0.7 Build 20210106 Rel. 65893

I'm currently rebooting the M5s daily - which isn't ideal I feel, but felt compelled to do so.

My experience is that some devices continue to be fed with data without issue - eg. my mobile phone [Samsung Note 20], whereas others eg. my tablet computer [Samsung Tab S7+], WiFi speaker [Yamaha] gets lost, and needs WiFi to be disconnected and reconnected

After the reconnection things seem fine for a while again.

Obviously, it's easier to perform this operation on a tablet computer than it is with a streaming video dongle and a WiFi speaker.

  @RomseyGuy

Thank you very much.

Any improvement after moving to build20220307?

Did the instability issue start from 1.6.0 no matter build 20220224 or 0307? And Did you have the same issue on official 1.5.7 and the first 1.6.0 build 20210818?

Here are some suggestions for your preference:

1. turn off the fast roaming on the Deco APP.

2. disable the “Mesh Technology” on the tablet and speakers.

3. unplug Deco M3W temporarily for the test.

May I know how often would the disconnection repeat on tablet and speaker within one day?

Could you please do me a favor to note down the disconnected time later and export the system log from the web UI of Deco?

Then send an email to support.forum@tp-link.com.

Thank you again for your cooperation and support.
