  @TP-Link I live out in the sticks w/almost no cell coverage.  This is very frustrating to need cell coverage in order to set this system up.

  @TP-Link

I received my Deco BE9300 today and I was honestly shocked to see the web UI complete useleness. I managed to setup everything via the app, but why would anyone do that when you have a perfectly good monitor, mouse and keyboard that could make the whole process 5 times faster?

The app works but it wasn't a superior experience to a web base configuration wizard at all, if anything it is a lot less responsive than a web page that runs directly on the router. I get the remote control capabilities, but those are topically for advanced users who would know how to set them up anyway...

Please add at least the AP mode. A contribution to me buying the deco today was that i was not able to access the web interface of a access point. Where the manufacturer only provided a online configuration and then later went bankrupt an sold the company. I am dismayed that i am still in the hands of the goodwill or availiability of the manufacturer. The feeling is that I dont own the product fully without all the features in the Web interface.

  @TP-Link I'm sorely disapointed with the severe lack of a working web interface. Someone in marketing dropped the ball guys. I work for a major retailer in electronics and I'll be letting all of my customers know that while the app is just OK for setup; the system as a whole is awful for actual administration.

I'm going back to netgear

Farewell

I'm honestly shocked this isnt a feature.. I shouldn't have had to think about if this wouldbe a feature when buying any network infrastructre device! It's a web device with a web backend... why are there no settings on this backend? Honestly feel like an idiot for falling for the fancy branding and design and just assuming basic functionality would be there. So if my phone dies, or TP-Link pushes a bad app update.. my network ceases to be controllable? Absolutely absurd. Will be returning my Deco products if there's no solid plan to get this added soon.

  @WACOMalt

Even more insidious is that TP-Link essentially manages our devices from their "cloud server".  That gives them complete control over our networks.

1. When they decide it's time for us to upgrade hardware, they simply shut off our routers.

2. They have complete access to all data on our networks.

3. If the company decides to no longer support these devices, they simply turn off their servers and we're SOL.

  @TP-Link

Owner of a Deco X55 Pro here. Today I was surprised to find that the advanced features are not present in the web interface, which I thought was a basic thing in any router, and so far it had been like that in the ones I have had.

I have no complaints about any TP Link device I have bought, so far I have it with this "small" detail, which if I had known I think I would have considered another option before buying this mesh system.

According to this topic, there have been years of customers clamoring for this feature to be included in the web interface, with no response from @TP-Link. Very very bad!

  @Palinair you can't even choose which wireless channels to use :) even from this mighty app. It's a joke. Not to mention the app is very slow to load, some times taking up to 5 minutes to reload the network map. Also, the traffic monitor is useless, getting stuck most of the times.

No wonder the USA is planning to ban TP-Link lol.

Another useless to us product as we have no android or apple and never will.

Just another useless amazon return.
