Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

Hello,

I purchased two x90 units and was easily able to set them up.

I was able to pick up 3 p9 units for fairly cheap to extend the network.  All 3 units fail to connect to my network by both Ethernet and wirelessly after dozens of attempts.

Is there anything I could be doing wrong?

Also - using x90 as the main, is the powerline capability essentially lost? I have two remote areas in the house with no ethernet ran near them.  The idea was to have one p9 connected via ethernet and the other two would use powerline to strengthen the signal

Hi, I see the Deco P9 is online already, and have you fixed the issue by yourself? If yes, May I know how?

Or If you set up a new Mesh network on the P9 instead of adding P9 to X90 Mesh?

As for the powerline backhaul, Deco P9 is required to be the main Deco.

But I see some user feedback that if the first P9 is wired to the main Deco, the powerline backhaul could be created.

Hello,

I turned off my VPN on my phone and it worked.

Oddly I did not have to do that to setup my x90.

I have both x90 connected via Ethernet. The two p9 that share the same electrical panel as the x90's show signal source wifi and PLC with the same x90 unit. Is this correct that it is using PLC? I will try switching the p9 and x90 to see if there is any difference. The other p9 is on a separate panel for the other side of the house.@TP-Link

@Andrew85

Thank you for getting back to me.

If you see there is PLC symbol under the signal source of P9, it means the powerline backhaul has been active.

I see you mentioned that one P9 is on a different panel since the powerline backhaul also required the powerline units are under the same electric meter, if they are not, I am afraid this P9 would only be on wireless backhaul.

@TP-Link

So both p9 have a x90 as the signal source with wifi and PLC?  Is that correct that the PLC is to the x90?

Or is it the one p9 that has the better wifi signal to the x90 is connected via PLC to the other p9 and both are wireless to the x90?

@Andrew85

Hi, Deco X90 does not support PLC backhaul and it only existed between Deco P9s.

Can I have some screenshots about the signal source on the P9 units?

Thank you very much.
