VR300 as access point

VR300 as access point
I have 2 VR300's one is ex office and have brought it home to extend the network coverage as an access point. So far
1) Done a factory reset on the AP unit
2) Set IP address to 192.168.1.250
3) Turned off DHCP
4) Rebooted
5) Connected AP to Router using ethernet LAN to LAN connection
6) Router cable connection lights up green when cable plugged in
7) AP has orange flashing lamp.
8) AP wifi connections are visible and can be connected to.
What have I missed??
