Sonoff DW2 not working with Deco M5
Hi,
After I installed the last firmware (.5.7 Build 20210819 Rel. 43499) at my Deco M5 devices, my 4 Sonoff DW2 stoped to connect to Wifi network.
Nowadays I have 39 sonoff devices (Basic, Mini, T2X, T3C and ZBBridge) working well with Deco M5, only the 4 Sonoff DW2 stoped working.
I installed an old router to test, and the Sonoff DW2 works perfectly with then, but does not connect to Deco M5.
I have disabled the Fast Roaming and Beamforming, but it does not change the problem.
Have anyone the same problem? Any idea to solve this?
Anyone knows how to downgrade Deco M5 to the previous firmware?
Best Regards,
Daniel.

I solved the problem!
The problem was with C3150. I replaced the C3150 by an AX73, and the DW2 devices started to communicate with the Sonoff servers again. My final setup is this way now:
INTERNET <---> ARRIS <---> AX73 <---> T1600G <---> Deco M5.
Maybe I reached the limit of devices that C3150 is able to manage, and I only notice that when I rebooted the Deco M5 after the firmware upgrade.
Thanks for all!

Hi, could there be any error when the 4*DM2 failed to connect to Deco M5?
And what is the model number of your old router?
When you are available, could you please help me run the following test:
1. Unplug other Sonoff devices and reboot the M5.
2. try to set up DM2 again.
(Please leave me a private message for notification in case I did not see the update in time.)
Thank you very much.

No errors are show at the device app (interface). It seems to be connected succesfuly, but it does not connect to the Sonoff servers, and because that the device do not work.
I made a test with an Arris TG3442A-NT.
I can`t unplug the other sonoff devices because they are IOT devices installed inside of light switches at the wall, or over the celling, for example.
I tried to setup DW2 again many times, with many different configurations, and different SSID (guest and main). Nothing that I tried worked. So I decide to make this post for new ideas.

Hi, if they were connected to Deco, Deco should be able to assign the IP addresses to them and you could have a check of the online clients to see if any of them is listed.
As you mentioned before, there are other Sonoff devices and they are working well, in this way, Deco would not block the connection to the Sonoff server.
I see the setup instruction(https://support.itead.cc/support/solutions/articles/11000062000-getting-started) and user manual(https://sonoff.tech/product/smart-home-security/dw2-wifi/) on the Sonoff DW sensor, I guess the LED on DW is Flashes quickly twice?
Have you ever checked with Sonoff support if there is any step that we have missed?
Thank you very much.

Yes, the DW2 devices are listed at Deco App, sometimes it gets IP address and sometimes it don't.
The DW2 flashes quickly twice after connected, but appears offline at Sonoff app.
Today my Internet Connection is this way:
INTERNET <---> Arris TG3442A-NT <---> Tp-Link Archer C3150 <---> Tp-Link T1600G-28TS <---> Tp-Link Deco M5 (AP Mode) <---> DW2-Wifi
I have two DHCP server, one inside of the Tp-Link T1600G-28TS, and another in a Synology device connected to this switch by wired network.
If I connect the DW2 to Arris router, it works perfectly. So there is no problem at Sonoff enviroment. The problem only occours when it is connected to Deco M5, and it starts after the last firmware upgrade.
Any idea?

Hi, thank you for getting back to me.
for your network layout, I do have some questions:I searched on the internet and found Arris TG3442 is also a router, so did C3150.
So I am guess maybe you set up C3150 as the main DHCP server and set up VLAN and multi-nets on the T1600G-28TS to create separate IP ranges?
if not, could you mind telling me more details about where Deco M5 gets IP address from?
As for the firmware update, before updating to 1.5.7, did you use 1.5.3 of M5?
If possible, firmware 1.5.7 could be downgraded to 1.5.3 directly.
Maybe we could pick up one Deco and downgrade back to 1.5.3 to see if the issue still existed.
Thank you very much.

The devices connected to Deco M5 receive IP address from Tp-Link T1600G-28TS or Synology DHCP Server. The C3150 DHCP Server is disabled.
I have one IP network between Arris (LAN) and C3150 (WAN), with 254 address available. And another IP network between C3150 (LAN), T1600G and Deco, with 510 address available. The DHCP Server at T1600G provides part of this IP address scope, and the Synology DHCP Server provides the other part of this IP address scope. There is not DHCP scope overlap.
I really does not remember which firmware version was installed at Deco before the upgrade. I just receive a message that there was a firmware upgrade available and accepted the upgrade. I suppose it was the last one before the 1.5.7. I usually upgrade as soon as it is available. How can I make this downgrade?

hi, in this way, since the original firmware is unclear, we can wait for a while for the downgrade.
Would you mind wait for a while? I would like to follow up on your case on email first and check with the engineers later since they have left for holidays.
Thank you very much.
