my ISP package by fibre optics:

1000 mbit down /  100 mbit up

I have recently purchased the following:

tp-link ac1200 wireless mu-mimo vdsl/adsl modem router archer vr400 v3

1. I set it to use the "wireless router mode" to turn the port 4 into WAN.
2. connected the etherent cable from a fibre optic media converter to wan port 4
3. Succsesfully connected PPOE to the ISP.
4. max download speed 300-400 mbit,  max upload speed 100 mbit  it should be 1000 mbit/100 mbit

I have already performed the following tests:

1. tried a different router, gives me consistent 1000 mbit/100 mbit
2. tried to connect the media converter etherent directly to my computer and do PPOE from my computer, gives me consistent 1000/100
3. tried to connect the vr400 v3 at a friends home wan port to a DHCP network instead of using the PPOE function, still get 300-400/100

is the hardware of the vr400 v3 incapable of handling 1000/100 ppoe speeds?

is it unable to transmit 1000 gps from port to port?

What can I do? I couldn't find in the specs any mention of this hardware limitation.
